Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:
• Lead all phases of proposal preparation including RFP review, document distribution, and bid strategy
• Oversee internal estimating teams, design partners, and pre-bid processes
• Attend and coordinate pre-bid site visits, develop project narratives, and manage compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Manage subcontractor/vendor scope development, pricing evaluations, and bid submissions
• Interface with scheduling, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth project transitions
• Prepare cost breakdowns, bid bonds, insurance certs, and complete turnover packages
Qualifications:
• 10+ years in commercial construction, including 3+ years in a stable, long-term role
• Experience leading complex federal, design-build, and self-perform estimates
• Proficiency with estimating software (Sage/Timberline preferred) and On-Screen Takeoff
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Background in mentoring junior estimators is a plus
